Ode of the Master Basser Ode to the Master Basser
His hook set is swift, and clean,
The mastery of bassery is seen in his casting swing!
His speed remains true, his eyes remain sharp,
His hand remains steady upon the wheel,
As the chine walking thrusts it’s self upon his craft making his partners squeal.
His hooks set deep,
The bass are always his to keep.
Oh, my master, my master depart the wisdom of the Zara spook plan,
Before another birthday assaults you and slows your steady hand.
Preventing the graceful arc of your net,
Enabling you to scoop up bass you have met.
Thus the year of the aging fishing master continues on,
No harm done except one more year gone.
